Keepsake Funerals

Thank you for seeking me out. My name is Connie Perlin. I am a trained and certified Funeral Celebrant located in Tewksbury Massachusetts.

As a Funeral Celebrant, I am here to help you, the family, plan a fitting memorial service and tribute to your loved one. This is YOUR service, YOUR good-bye. Let me help you mark this time in a meaningful way. 

Funerals shouldn't be something you just want to "get through".   A funeral, done well, can have a lasting influence on your future bereavement and grieving process.  I want you to walk away with a "keepsake" both through the words used and by making your funeral personalized and meaningful. I love what I do.  Meeting people in a time of need requires caring and listening. I will give you both. 

Why me? Because, it's YOUR funeral.

Many people have no church affiliation any more, no clergy to call on. Often the funeral home will suggest someone. Many are not aware that clergy do not have to officiate at a funeral or memorial service. A funeral celebrant is a trained professional, offering services which allow the family the opportunity to form and shape their service their way.

As a chaplain and celebrant I often hear, "I still believe in God, I just don't go to church."  And, as often, I hear, "my Mother had a strong faith and we want to honor her and include what she believes in her funeral". 

I also hear, "It was a nice funeral but the person we got never met us before. " Unfortunately I've also heard, "they didn't even say his /her name."

I will help you plan a funeral that celebrates the life of the loved one who has died. I will meet with the family, listen to your rememberances, ask you what you want, what would be meaningful to you. Help you plan who will speak, what music you want and what readings will provide the best tribute to the life lived. And, yes, I will say their name.
